Do you wonder
if there is more to be said
of the same phrase
someone recited to you that day
in another language?

Like when we speak
and a pause arrives
How the only comfort 
is a preying 
on each other’s minds

You close the curtains
before you sleep
only to wake up 
and open them
To be seen.
Days of this 
can make you blind 
You are always up
on someone’s mind.
