Portrait Of Bonghi - 2022




This painting does not stare at me, 
and it will always be this way.
The core purpose being 
us seeing 
class, a stern face and embellishments 
Bonghi on the painting couldn’t have 
done this to any regular-
it is humiliating.
The painting is a product
and it does not immerse us.
The closest to you
touching the heart 
of this man
would be the first layer,
the layer of many.
When the initial stroke,
the painter’s organic scan
of this sumptuous man
Is disposed by the engulfing of 
more oil and pigment,
I get the idea that Truth
may have been the case they would believe
as the ugly accident.
