Onlooker At The Movies - 2023




Now someone
plays onlooker today
and they're going to see me
watch a movie.

I would think of Mingus'
three faces in this score
and guess which one comes up when you think of me.
They will see me watch a movie 
for 2 hours
to then see me off
with no pen to be raised
for the rest of the day.
I am just sitting there
and it is all for you.
Love does not shoot me poems
but you do.

The onlooker today
will share the hot catch that
I create no work
and watch movies
But when the end credits
cast a strobe of many
unknown names
which makes some
think of names they know
maybe it is okay I smile
and fall to dreams for you again.
